Is there a road side assist program in Canada for driving a 16`moving truck across? CAA and CTC have zilch?
So this is a personal move, Toronto to BC and I need some assurance in case of breakdown since the truck is used, under 10 years old. It’s a 14 or 16 foot diesel cube van and isn’t covered by the RV outfits, my auto insurance, CAA, or crap tire. If I could I also might buy extended coverage for a mechanical failure, along with the tow I’d need in the middle of Saskatchewan or wherever. I’d really appreciate anyone’s input and experience in this area as we sure can’t afford ten grand plus to hire movers and we’ve already done all the packing ourselves. Probably will sell the truck out there when done. Thanks, Guy.
I work for a car rental company. What ever type of vehicle it is call a dealership and ask for there raodside assistance phone number. Call the number and ask them about travel packages you can buy

insurance question???????? (im just putting all the question marks cause i have too)?
if i have motorcyle insurance or car insurance, and then i get rid of my car or bike. do i cancel my insurance? or continue to pay till i get a new one? is it better to get insurace online or talk to the agency? is it safe to get free quotes even without knowing the bike or car im going to purchase?
thanks
If you are planning on getting a new car/bike, it’s best to keep that insurance live. If you are giving up this mode of transport, you should cancel your insurance.
While there are definitely places online who are black hat, there are a few who are legit. For auto insurance, I would recommend progressive or netquote, as they offer comparisons for multiple carriers.
What’s great about quoting services is that a typical car insurance form is over 100 questions. If you got to individual companies to compare a few quotes, you’ll have to fill out those 100 questions several times. If you go to places like progressive or nq, you only have to answer those questions once and you get several quotes to compare pricing.
Also something to keep in mind is that insurance is regulated by the state, so it’s good to check out the rules and regs in your state before you start shopping. NQ has a pretty good rundown of every state: http://www.netquote.com/stateinsurance.aspx
